Tax residency by country
Am I a tax resident of Croatia? The day-count rule
This page explains, in plain terms, the day-count rule that typically makes you a tax resident of Croatia โ and how to keep track of it without doing the maths by hand.
The day threshold
Croatia generally treats you as a tax resident if you spend 183 days or more there during the calendar year (1 Januaryโ31 December).
Croatia is in the Schengen area, so if you're a non-EU visitor your stays there also count toward the Schengen 90/180 limit โ a separate rule from tax residency.
